Matthew Colin Bailey (July 23, 1985)[1] is an American Architectural Historian, Kentucky author, and founder of the Green River Academy Preservation Society.

Personal life

Bailey was born in Nashville, Tennessee, United States but spent most of his childhood in Elkton, Kentucky.

Early Projects

During his time at the University of Kentucky, Bailey was awarded with a resolution by the Kentucky House of Representatives and by the Governor of Kentucky, Ernie Fletcher, Senator Joey Pendleton, and Mayor Scott Marshall for designs completed for the city of Guthrie, Kentucky.[2] Bailey, led efforts to redesign the city of Guthrie, Kentucky, a once segregated and poverty stricken community in southern Kentucky. Bailey, along with David Biagi, at the University of Kentucky's College of Design, created schematic plans for the future development of the city. Both Bailey and Biagi were awarded the key to the city for their efforts.[3]
