120 Montgomery Street

120 Montgomery Street is an office tower located in San Francisco's Financial District, near the Montgomery Street BART station. The tower, completed in 1955, was originally home to the Equitable Life Insurance headquarters. The building stands 108 m (354 ft) tall, and has 25 floors of offices, and is convert|420310|sqft|m2|abbr=on. It is one of the first post-World War II office buildings in San Francisco. It was designed by William Peugh. It is distinguished by classical white marble facade against aluminum art-deco window framing. It was purchased by Sterling American Property Inc. and Hines Real Estate Investment Trust in January 2006 for $67.5 million from Equities Office Properties Trust.
