Bob Abernethy

Bob Abernethy

Bob Abernethy (born November 5, 1927) is a former NBC News correspondent.

Abernethy received his bachelor's and master's degrees from the Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs at Princeton University. For more than 40 years, he worked as a correspondent for NBC News. Mr. Abernethy provided memorable coverage of the arrival at Andrews AFB of the body of President John F. Kennedy upon its' arrival from Dallas in 1963.

Since 1997, Abernethy has served as the executive editor and host of "Religion & Ethics Newsweekly," which airs on PBS.
