The Karachay-Balkar language (Къарачай-Малкъар /Qarachay-Malqar/) is a Turkic language spoken by the Karachays and Balkars. It is divided into two dialects: Karachay which pronounces two phonemes as IPA|/ʧ/ and IPA|/ʒ/, and Balkar, which pronounces the corresponding phonemes as IPA|/ʦ/ and IPA|/z/.
