The Black-faced Hawk ("Leucopternis melanops") is a species of bird of prey in the Accipitridae family.It is found in the northern Amazon Basin of Brazil and the Guianas; also Colombia, Ecuador, French Guiana, Guyana, Peru, Suriname, and Venezuela.Its natural habitat is subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests.
