Built in 1894, the hotel is in the Romanesque architectural style. A glass false storefront was removed in a 1980's renovation, revealing the structure's lower level stonework. The Hotel Vintage Plaza is now a boutique hotel owned by Kimpton Hotels. Each room is themed after local wineries. It was named one of the "Top 500 Hotels in the World" by "Travel and Leisure" magazine, and was named "most romantic hotel "by "Citysearch Portland". [ cite web
