Nothing But the Truth (1941) is a comedy film starring Bob Hope and Paulette Goddard, their third movie together in three years. The movie was directed by Elliott Nugent.[1][2]

The premise of the film, that the protagonist must tell the truth for the next 24 hours, is a remake of the 1929 film of the same name starring Richard Dix and Wynne Gibson.

Synopsis

Stockbroker T.R. Ralston has promised his niece Gwen he will double her monetary efforts to benefit a local charity. She goes behind his back in order to increase her final output. To complicate matters, Bennett uses Gwen's money to make a bet with Ralston and his fellow work associates: he must tell the truth for the next 24 hours.
