"They Stood Up for Love" is a song by alternative rock group Live, which was released as the third and final single from their 1999 album, "The Distance to Here".

The single releases include acoustic versions of Live's songs, including "They Stood Up for Love". These recordings were made at Jet Studios in Brussels, Belgium in April, 2000.

The song was not released as a commercially purchasable single in the United States. It failed to chart on Billboard's Hot 100 Airplay chart, but peaked at #31 on the Billboard Modern Rock Tracks and #24 on the Billboard Mainstream Rock Tracks charts.
