Located in Gandhinagar, Institute of Petroleum Technology, Gandhinagar a.k.a.IPTG, is a constituent institute of Pandit Deendayal Petroleum University offering programmes addressing the technological requirements of oil & Gas sector. The course offering would pertain to Exploration, Production, Drilling, Reservoir, Transportation, Refining & Geosciences of Energy and Petroleum Sector.

Keeping in point of view the heavy demand and shortage of knowledgible people in this industry of Oil and Gas, GSPC opened this institute in 2007. Hence, aiming to give this world students, capable of meeting the demand of the industry.

The institute believes that creating a serene environment blended with modern technologies heightens the spirit and energy level of all learners and inspires them to optimize their learning efforts. In this direction, IPTG provides the intellectual ambience in a stimulating campus.
