Shanto Mariam University of Creative Technology ( _bn. শান্ত মরিয়ম বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়) or SMUCT is a private university established in 2003 under the Private University Act 1992. [ [http://www.sai.uni-heidelberg.de/workgroups/bdlaw/1992-a34.htm Private University Act, 1992] ] The university is located at Dhaka, Bangladesh. It was named after Md. Imamul Kabir Shanto (Founder Chairman) and his wife Tahmina Chowdhury Kabir (Mariam) (Founder Vice Chairman).
