FACS (Field Automated Communication System) is a construction management software offered by FACS, LLC. It provides resources for managing large scale construction projects.

FACS combines wireless transmission technology, application software, and rugged tablet PCs to streamline construction management.

Through the use of asynchronous wireless communication, users are continuously updated with the latest information. Project plans, manuals, standards, specifications, field sketches, forms, and much more are all handled by the system.

FACS is a web based system, thus it is globally accessible to clients from any web browser.

FACS, LLC offers rugged tablet computers as the default hardware for use at construction project sites. The tablets are typically connected to the internet via EVDO wireless modems to allow for always-connected access to the FACS servers. Tablets are constantly synchronizing data between the server and the tablets. Should a user lose connection, all data is stored locally on the tablet, allowing the user to work uninterrupted until the connection can be reestablished and resynchronized with the server. This is of particular value to construction projects in areas with poor cellular service.
