ShopTV Canada is a Canadian English language cable television home shopping channel. It is currently owned by Torstar Media Group Television.

Programming

It features advertising (infomercials) in both short and long form with lengths ranging from 30 seconds to 28.5 minutes from a wide range of categories including Automotive, Beauty & Personal Care, Entertainment, Health & Fitness, Home Improvement, Real Estate and more.

History

The channel launched on October 17, 1997 and was known as "Toronto Star TV" before changing its name to ShopTV Canada on April 14, 2003. This was done in the hopes of expanding across Canada.

As a shopping television service, ShopTV Canada is exempted from Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission (CRTC) licensing.
