"The Bootlicker" is an album by Melvins, which was released in 1999 through Ipecac Recordings. This album is part of a trilogy: "The Maggot", "The Bootlicker" and "The Crybaby". The Trilogy was released on vinyl by Ipecac Recordings ("The Trilogy Vinyl", IPC-011, November 27, 2000). This album shows an anachronistic change in sound compared to The Maggot, having soft alternative rock styles instead of sludge metal.

On the CD version there is a spooky sample of the song "Smells Like Teen Spirit" (the first song on "The Crybaby") after "Prig" and some digital silence.
