The Campeonato Ecuatoriano de Fútbol Serie A 2007 (known as Copa Pílsener Serie A 2007 for sponsorship reasons) was the 49th season of Ecuador's Serie A, the country's top football tournament for the country's top league. The First Stage began on February 2, the Second Stage on July 13, and the Liguilla Final on October 19. The defending champions were Club Deportivo El Nacional.

Format

The format is identical to the 2006 Serie A tournament. The tournament is composed of three stages:

*First Stage (Spanish: Primera Etapa):The ten teams will compete, each team playing the other nine teams twice in a double round-robin format (one home game, one away game). The top three teams qualify for the Liguilla final, and will earn bonus points (3, 2, and 1 point [s] respectively). The Stage winner qualifies for the Copa Sudamericana 2007.

*Second Stage (Spanish: Segunda Etapa):Identical to the First Stage. The top three teams will earn bonus points for the Liguilla Final (3, 2, and 1 point [s] respectively). If a team re-qualifies for the Liguilla Final after this stage, the highest positioned team in the Aggregate Table who has not qualified as a top three finisher from the two stages qualifies for the Liguilla Final, but does not earn bonus points. The Stage winner qualifies for the Copa Sudamericana 2008. The last team in the aggregate table at the end of this stage is relegated to Serie B.

*Liguilla Final:The Liguilla Final is a double round-robin format between the six qualified teams of the First and Second Stage. The winner of this round-robin tournament will be the champion of Serie A. The champion and runner-up will qualify to the Copa Libertadores 2008 Group Stage and the third-place finisher to the Preliminary Round.
