Who's Afraid of the Big Bad Wolf?

Who's Afraid of the Big Bad Wolf?

"Who's Afraid of the Big Bad Wolf" is a popular song written by Frank Churchill with additional lyrics by Ann Ronell, which originally featured in the 1933 Disney cartoon Three Little Pigs, where it was sung by Fiddler and Fifer Pig as they arrogantly believe their houses of straw and twigs will protect them from the Big Bad Wolf. The song's themes made it song a huge hit song during the Great Depression, and it still remains one of the most well-known Disney songs, also being covered by numerous artists and musical groups.

Re-use by Disney

The song was naturally reused in the sequels to "Three Little Pigs", and its writing was also re-enacted in the "Cavalcade of Songs" episode on the Disneyland television series in 1955 [ [http://disney.go.com/vault/archives/movies/pigs/pigs.html Disney Archives - Three Little Pigs] accessed 12th August 2008] . The song was featured on the "Sing Along Songs" video "I Love to Laugh" and has, as most popular Disney songs naturally have, also appeared on numerous Disney recordings, including "DisneyMania 4" (2006), where it was covered by B5.
