Horonobe, Hokkaidō

nihongo|Horonobe|幌延町|Horonobe-chō is a town located in Teshio District, Rumoi, Hokkaidō, Japan.

As of 2008, the town has an estimated population of 2,702 and a density of 4.82 persons per km². The total area is 574.27 km².

As of 2007, Horonobe was being researched by the Japan Atomic Energy Agency to evaluate its suitability for use as a deep geological repository for Japan's spent nuclear fuel. Analysis includes consideration of 10,000 years or more into the future.
