Mobile phones

In Vietnam, when dialing a mobile phone number, it must be in the format 09y xxxxxxx or 01yy xxxxxxx, either when you dial from the same mobile phone network, from the different mobile phone networks, or from landline phones. But when dialing from overseas, the first 0 is omitted.

The 09y-digit and 01yy-digit codes specify the mobile phone operators and can be considered as their area codes. Some mobile phone operators have been given more than one operator codes.

The mobile phone operator codes are distributed as followed:

* "MobiFone" - 090 xxxxxxx, 093 xxxxxxx, 0122 xxxxxxx and 0126 xxxxxxx
