Koji Akiyama

Koji Akiyama

Koji Akiyama 秋山 幸二, born April 6, 1962 in Miyahara, Kumamoto) is a retired professional baseball player for the Seibu Lions and the Fukuoka Daiei Hawks (currently Fukuoka SoftBank Hawks) in Japan's Nippon Professional Baseball. He is now the head coach of the Hawks and considered as the successor of the current manager Sadaharu Oh. On October 8, 2008, Akiyama was officially named as manager of the Hawks.
