Gauldal

Gauldal

Gauldalen ("the valley of Gaula") is a traditional district in Trøndelag, Norway, consisting of the municipalities Holtålen, Midtre Gauldal and Melhus. The Gaula river runs through Gauldalen.

The municipality of Røros is often (traditionally) counted as a part of the district, even though it lies outside the actual river valley of Gaula.
