Nancy Lurie

Nancy Lurie

Nancy Oestreich Lurie (January 29, 1924 - present) is an American anthropologist and specialist in North American Indians.

Lurie was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She received her first degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and graduated with an M.A. in Anthropology from the University of Chicago and a Ph.D. in Anthropology from Northwestern University.
