"Shimmy Shimmy Ya" is the second single by Ol' Dirty Bastard, from the album, "". The video shows a depiction of the '70s where big afros and platform shoes were in. ODB talks about doing a little dance with the ladies.

A remix by Bay Area producer Studio Ton, featuring MC Eiht & E-40, was released as a one song promotional single. A video was made for the remix with special effects involving fire.

*The song was featured in the "More Music from 8 Mile" album and was used in the film "8 Mile", while Jimmy Rabbit and his gang are in the car, right before brawling the second time with the Free World.

*This song is used for the opening scene of the 2007 American comedy film, Knocked Up.

*At the beginning of the song, you can hear a sample of Richard Pryor saying, "aw, fuck, you can't even sing." The same sample can be heard at the beginning of Sublime's "What I Got."
