Refimprove|date=August 2007"'nihongo|"Patriotism"|憂国|"Yûkoku" is a 1966 Japanese short drama film directed by Yukio Mishima and Domoto Masaki. Mishima wrote "Yûkoku" four years before his death. The book reflected many of Mishima's war like instincts as the book follows the story of a Japanese arm lieutenant and his wife, Yoshiko Tsuruoka. His fascination with death and the samurai also come into the book when the lieutenant commits harakiri, the Japanese ritual suicide. The book also was a tribute to the emperor and the Ni Ni Roku incident. Intervening his love of political matters and death/violence with his stories became a love of his and "Patriotism" is an example of this.
