KCSF is a radio station serving the Colorado Springs vicinity as with a classic country format. It broadcasts on AM frequency 1300 kHz and is under ownership of Citadel Broadcasting. Its new callsign since June 29, 2008 is a throwback to long-time area Country radio station KKCS (now KSTY).

History

The 1300 AM frequency in Colorado Springs was the longtime home of news/talk KVOR until March 2000. KVOR switched frequencies with the former KTWK 740 (formerly K-Talk, later Memories 740.) Classic country first came to 1300 AM in December 2000 when the station changed calls to KUBL (The Bull.)

In 2004; it was a sports radio station known as KKML, "The Sports Animal" affiliated with Fox Sports Radio then ESPN Radio in 2006. The recent format change has caused controversy in the Colorado Springs area being that KKML was the only 24-hour sports station in the market. [ [http://www.gazette.com/sports/sports_37775___article.html/radio_springs.html Springs will no longer have 24-hour sports radio station] - "The Gazette (retrieved June 30, 2008)] It is unknown when the 24-hour sports/talk format will return to the Colorado Springs area.

The Colorado Rockies could still be heard on this station during the Major League Baseball season.
