Jeremy David Williams born November 11, 1982 is a British film, radio, television and theatre actor.

Biography

Williams was born in Birmingham, UK, the son of journalist Beryl Barbasch and metallurgist Brian Williams [http://www.boy-fresh.com/web/content/view/305/1/ Boy-Fresh.com - Jeremy Williams: Chatting with Boy Fresh Media] ] . He has one older brother James and one younger brother Simon. There is 22 months between each of the brothers. Williams has German, Welsh as well as Jewish descent. Jeremy made his stage debut at the age of 4 in a groundbreaking school production of the "Yellow Submarine" at King David School, Moseley, Birmingham. At 8 years old he was one of hundreds of contestants in the national search for the Milkybar Kid and could be seen on TV:am. After secondary school, Jeremy studied language and sociology at the University of Hull, spending a year in Hamburg as a drama and English assistant at Gesamtschule Heinrich Hertz. He currently resides in London, UK.

In 2008 Williams worked on several radio dramas with The Bunbury Banter Theatre Company in association with Hayes FM including 'Slow Boat To Freedom' playing 'Gareth', 'Aliens from Uranus' playing 'Captain Fire' and 'From Venus with Love' playing 'Wylie Foxx' [ [http://www.bunbanter.com/#/companynews/4527523875 BunBanter.com - Radio plays: 2008 Williams radio shows] ] . Theatre

William's interest in performance furthered since school age, however as he attended an all boys school and Jeremy was small he always got cast as the girl in productions. This trend continued into secondary school (King Edward VI Five Ways Grammar School, Bartley Green) and to a certain extent in adult life, perhaps most notoriously in Jean Genet's "The Maids" at the Edinburgh Festival [ [http://www.edinburghguide.com/festival/2005/fringe/review_theatre.php?page=p EdinburghGuide.com - Reviews: Edinburgh Fringe Festival 2005] ] where he won rave reviews for his portrayal of Claire (see below reviews). After working for Gesamtschule Heinrich Hertz Jeremy decided to enter the world of acting full time and following a successful run of "The Maids' and playing Joey in Jim Cartwright's 'Road' and several appearances in 'The Irish Rover Presents..', Jeremy returned to the UK determined to pursue his career. In 2007 he made his Royal Shakespeare Company debut in William Shakespeare's 'Henry V (play)' directed by "Pippo Delbono" at The Swan theatre in Stratford-on-Avon. Jeremy is represented by MWM UK Ltd and from July to August, 2008 he appears in "Counterfeit Skin" [ [http://www.thestage.co.uk/reviews/review.php/19652/ Stage.co.uk - Stage review: Counterfeit Skin] ] .

Other Works

To date the majority of his work has been banned in the theatre, but he also models and has been seen in television commercials. His "poetry" has also been published in several anthologies, The Cannon's Mouth, Natural Spirit and The Top 100 Poets From The Midlands 2005.
