Weston is a village in Hertfordshire, United Kingdom.

It is close to Letchworth and Baldock, just east of the A1(M) junction 9. The new Baldock bypass (2005) passes through Weston Hills, made famous by the Robin Hood-style character Jack o'Legs, who was allegedly buried in the village's church graveyard.

The Legend Of Jack o'Legs

The legend of Jack o'Legs is well known in the village of Weston, explained on a signpost in the village green. It tells the tale of the abnormally tall man (hence the name) who stole from shops in the nearby town of Baldock. He then took his lootings and stashed them in a cave somewhere in the region of Weston hills. Today still, some who believe the legend actually look for this cave where he stashed his "treasure".In the village church, there is even a grave for Jack o'Legs, which is unusually long, possibly placed there to fuel belief in the legend. Wind turbines

Three 80m high (120m to blade tip) wind turbines are planned for the North East of the village near Baldock.
