"Taking Flight" is Sarah Geronimo's fourth studio album and was released on July 25, 2007 under VIVA Records. "Taking Flight" showcases songs by Filipino composers Louie Ocampo, Trina Belamide, Chuckie Dreyfus, Rebel Magdagasang, and Medwin Marfil. "Taking Flight" was certified GOLD on October 13, 2007 and received a 24k award in ASAP on the same date for achieving gold status. So far, the album has reached platinum status and nearing 2x platinum mark.

"Taking Flight" debuted at number 10 at the Odyssey Album Charts. The first single, "I'll Be Alright" written by Louie Ocampo, was released commercially on July 25, 2007. "I'll Be Alright" appeared on the charts two weeks before its official release> "I'll Be Alright" achieved the top position for 11 weeks on various charts.Fact|date=December 2007 The second single off "Taking Flight" was "Ikaw". It was released on September 28, 2007; it debuted at no. 16 at 101.9forlife top 40 countdown. It appeared on the countdown a week before its official release. "Ikaw" topped the charts for a staggering 43 weeks, making it her biggest hit to date. "Kahit Na" was released as the 3rd official single and it charted at the top for 5 weeks. "I"ll Be Here" is set to be the 4th and final single off "Taking Flight" before the release of her much awaited 5th studio album entitled "Just Me".
