Assiniboia (2006 Population 2,305) is a town in south central Saskatchewan, Canada. From 1908 to 1912, the post office at this location was named Leeville, Saskatchewan. It is located 110 km SSW of Moose Jaw beside Highway 2 and Highway 13. In 1925, Assiniboia was located on the Moose Jaw - Expanse Branch line and the Assiniboia Branch Line of the Canadian Pacific Railway Ltd..

Assiniboia has three schools; Seventh Avenue School (grades K - 4), Assiniboia Elementary School (grades 5 - 8) and Assiniboia Composite High School (grades 9 - 12).
