Henry "Harry" McShane (born 8 April 1920) is a Scottish former football player, who regularly played as a winger. He was born in Holytown, North Lanarkshire, Scotland.
McShane started his professional career with Bellshill Athletic, before moving to Blackburn Rovers in 1937. He then spent time at Port Vale, Reading and Huddersfield Town, before moving to Bolton Wanderers in 1947. He spent three years at Bolton, making 93 appearances, before transferring to Manchester United in 1950.
He was part of the Manchester United side that won the First Division in 1951-52. In 1954, he transferred to Oldham Athletic, before seeing out his playing days with various Lancashire clubs such as Chorley and Droylsden.
He is also known now as the father of actor Ian McShane.
