David Feldman (academic)

David Feldman is the Rouse Ball Professor of English Law at the University of Cambridge and a Fellow of Downing College, Cambridge, as well as the author and editor of several books on British law. He was formerly the Acting Director of the Centre of Public Law and since early 2006 has been Chairman of the Faculty of Law. Since 2002 he has been a Judge on the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and is currently Vice-President of that court.

He is an Honorary Bencher at Lincoln's Inn and an Academic Associate at the Chambers of 39 Essex Street.

Professor Feldman completed his BCL and MA at Exeter College, Oxford before becoming a Lecturer in Law there from 1976-89. He was a Visiting Fellow at the Australian National University in 1989 before taking up the Barber Professorship of Jurisprudence at the University of Birmingham (1992-2000). He remained a professor of law at Birmingham until 2004 while acting as a legal Adviser to the Parliamentary Joint Select Committee on Human Rights.
