Frank Michael Stams is a former American football defensive lineman who played at the University of Notre Dame in South Bend, Indiana. He was the defensive MVP of the 1986 Orange Bowl, and played on the 1988 National Championship team. He would later play in the NFL, where he was converted to linebacker. He was nicknamed "The Man" for his massive size and strength for a defensive end.

He currently is a radio football broadcaster for the University of Akron. He also is an assistant coach for the freshmen team at Walsh Jesuit High School in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio.
