Peter Swan (footballer born 1966)

Peter Swan (born September 28, 1966) is an English former footballer who played as a defender. He played for Leeds United, Hull City, Port Vale, Plymouth Argyle, Burnley, Bury and York City. Swan played for Vale in the 1993 Second Division playoff final against West Bromwich Albion at Wembley. In the second half, with the game still goalless, Swan brought down former Leeds team-mate Bob Taylor, who had been through on goal. Swan was sent off, which proved to the turning point in the game as Albion went on to win 3–0 to secure promotion.
