The Roman Catholic Diocese of Kikwit {Latin: " Kikuiten(sis) "} is a diocese located in the city of Kikwit in the Ecclesiastical province of Kinshasa in the Democratic Republic of the Congo.

History

* 1893: Established as Mission “sui iuris” of Koango from the Apostolic Vicariate of Léopoldville
* January 31, 1903: Promoted as Apostolic Prefecture of Koango
* March 28, 1928: Promoted Apostolic Vicariate of Koango
* February 21, 1955: Renamed as Apostolic Vicariate of Kikwit
* November 10, 1959: Promoted as Diocese of Kikwit
