Salvador Allende Local

The Salvador Allende Local is the local affiliate of the Socialist Party of North Carolina in the Raleigh-Durham area. It is named for Salvador Allende, a socialist who was elected President of Chile in 1970 and overthrown by CIA-backed General Augusto Pinochet in 1973.
