United Federations

United Federations

The United Federations is the science fictional Earth government set in the year 2263 from the 1997 film, The Fifth Element. It is populated by over 200 billion citizens and encompasses entire planets and colonies. The form of government appears to be a federal republic with a ruling council and a Federal President named Lindberg as head of state.

The military of the U.F. is called the Federated Army which comprises fleets of space warships, armed ground soldiers and the special force's in which Korbin Dalles (Bruce Willis) long served in. The U.F. has been involved in a mentioned war with beast-like space aliens named Mangalores in which they were victorious. They also in the plot, attempted to destroy the newly formed Ultimate Evil using battleships which only made the ball of terror larger and stronger and even decimated a fleet attempting to fire at it.

The economy is a free market capitalist system in which is noticeable when the tyrannical industrialist and one of the villains of the film, Jean-Baptiste Emmanuel Zorg fires a million workers due to the economy heating up and causing the Council to worry. Vast mega corporations rule the economy and daily life such as Zorg Enterprises which is owned by Zorg himself.
