"It's not reliving where I been. [The album is] just based on where I am", Blige told MTV News on October 22 on the set of the video for her new single, "Just Fine".

Critical reception

Reviewers' response to the album was mostly positive, currently holding a score of 76 (out of 100) on music review aggregation website Metacritic.
