Unity (submarine cable)

Unity is the code name for a Trans-Pacific submarine communications cable in which Google is investing with other partners. On 26th February 2008 Google and five telecommunications operators (Bharti Airtel, Global Transit, KDDI, PacNet, and SingTel) said in a joint statement that the 6,200-mile undersea fiber-optic cable, connecting the United States to Japan, will cost $300 million. The cable landing points are:
