University of the Littoral Opal Coast (Université du Littoral Côte d'Opal) is a French university, based in Dunkerque. It reports to the Academy of Lille and is a member of the [http://cde.univ-lille1.fr/index.php?id=23&L=1 European Doctoral College Lille-Nord-Pas de Calais] .
ULCO is a University situated in Pas-de-Calais, in the North of France, more precisely north west of Lille. The full name is "Université du Littoral de la Côte d'Opale". The University is divided in 4 parts, in different cities:
-Boulogne sur Mer
-Calais
-Dunkerque
-Saint-Omer
It was created in 1991, but the first year of studies was in 1992. Several diplomas can be pass there (50), and the University is also integrated in the European Space of Superior Education in 2004.

The structure is pretty good, with a modern style. In the past, the building was a hospital.
