"Lost Souls" is the debut album by the band Doves. It was nominated for the Mercury Music Prize in 2000, but lost out to Badly Drawn Boy's "The Hour of Bewilderbeast". The band had previously played as Badly Drawn Boy's backing band.

The original UK release of the album contains twelve songs; the US domestic release contains three additional bonus tracks.

Trivia

* The band were originally known as Sub Sub, making disco/techno music. An electrical fire in their recording studio caused it to burn down, destroying three years of their material. It was at this point that they decided to change direction and reform themselves as Doves. This album followed soon after.
