Larmor-Plage ( _br. An Arvor) is a commune in the Morbihan department and Bretagne region of France.

History

First, let me tell you about the history of Larmor-Plage.Larmor-Plage had created in 1925. Indeed, in the past, Larmor-Plage belonged to the town named Ploemeur. Moreover I would like to stress one particuliar point which is the fact that Larmor-Plage was nothing more than a ruin after the second world war.

Tourism

Secondly, let me tell you about the importance of tourism.During the winter, Larmor-Plage's population is about 11 thousand of inhabitants. Conversely, during the summer, there are twice more inhabitants. Therefore, we can realise the importance of tourism.

Patrimony

What's more, I would like to draw your attention to the patrimony. The church Notre-Dame-de-Larmor is located in the centre of the town. It had built in the fifteenth century. In the past, it was a control sea centre.Moreover, I would like to mention that in the twentieth century, 3 villas had built in Larmor-Plage. During the Second World War, the Germans turned the villas into a military place. Now they are part of the patrimony.

Environment

At this point, I would like to draw your attention to the environment. Kerguelen is a natural park, therefore people do their best to protect the environment. There are observatories and we can observe differents birds species.

Sport

Finally, I would like to add that sport holds a high position in Larmor-Plage. We can find, for example, many windsurfers. You will be surprised to hear that the nautical centre of Kerguelen is the first school of sailing in France.

Conclusion

I would like to conclude by saying that Larmor-Plage is a wonderful town given that it's a quiet town with 5 beachs and it's very nice to live close to the sea.
