Pozharsky District

Pozharsky District ( _ru. Пожарский район) is a district ("raion") located in the northern part of Primorsky Krai, Russia. Its administrative center is the urban-type settlement of Luchegorsk. Population: 34,120 (2002 Census); 35,826 (1989 Census). The majority of the population (65.5% as of the 2002 Census) lives in Luchegorsk. The area of the district is km2 to mi2|22670. The district was established on September 14, 1939.

The district was named after Ivan Pozharsky, a hero of the Battle of Lake Khasan.

The district borders People's Republic of China in the west, Khabarovsk Krai in the north, Terneysky District in the east and south-east, Krasnoarmeysky District in the south, and Dalnerechensky District in the south-west.
