Thomas William Hislop

Thomas William Hislop (1850-1925) was the Mayor of Wellington from 1905 to 1908, and had represented two South Island seats in Parliament.

He was born in Midlothian, and had practiced as a lawyer in Oamaru.

He represented the electorate of Waitaki from 1876 to 1880 when he resigned, then Oamaru from 1885 to 1890 when he resigned or was defeated. He was a member of the Atkinson Ministry from 1887 to 1891. He was a Member of the Legislative Council from 1921 to 1925.

His son Thomas Charles Atkinson Hislop was Mayor from 1931 to 1944.
