Sailing at the 1948 Summer Olympics - 6 metre class

The 6 metre class was one of five sailing events held as part of the Sailing at the 1948 Summer Olympics programme. It was the ninth appearance of the event.

Races were held off the coast of Torquay.

The Finnish boat "Ralia" is the former Swedish boat "Ali Baba". Four of the boats including gold medal winning "Llanoria" and silver medal winning "Djinn" will also compete in the 1952 competition.
