Tullow Oil plc (lse|TLW) is a British-based oil and gas exploration and production business headquartered in London. It is listed on the London Stock Exchange and is a constituent of the FTSE 100 Index.

History

The Company was founded by Aidan Heavey in 1985 in the Republic of Ireland as a gas exploration business operating in Senegal. It has expanded rapidly in recent years notably through the acquisition of Hardman Resources in January 2007. Operations

Tullow Oil operates mainly in Europe, Africa and South Asia.
