The 1st Photo Squadron (Detachment C) was a World War II United States Army Air Forces combat organization. It served primarily in the China Burma India Theater and Pacific Ocean theater of World War II.

History

Operational History

Part of 1st Photographic Group on 15 May 1941. Activated on 10 Jun 1941. Redesignated 1st Mapping Group in Jan 1942, and 1st Photographic Charting Group in Aug 1943.

Charted and mapped areas of the US and sent detachments to perform similar functions in Alaska, Canada, Africa, the Middle East, India, the Caribbean, Mexico, Central and South America, and the Kurils.

Disbanded on 5 Oct 1944.
