The 2010 Summer Youth Olympic Games (officially known as "1st Summer Youth Olympic Games") is the inaugural Youth Olympic Games, a major international sports and cultural festival to be celebrated in the tradition of the Summer Olympic Games from August 14 to August 26, 2010, during the XXIX Olympiad. Bid process

Singapore won the right to host the Games on 21 February 2008 after a televised announcement in Lausanne, Switzerland by IOC President Jacques Rogge
