Air worthiness certificate

Air worthiness certificate

An air worthiness certificate is issued by the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) of a country. It is required on any machine that is capable of powered flight carrying a person, before such a machine is allowed to fly over that country's territory. The CAA, an independent quango, monitors and regulates all such affairs regarding civilian aircraft, air safety, and airspace, as well as air crash investigation.
