Tullamarine Football Club

Tullamarine Football Club

Tullamarine Football Club is a Australian rules football club in the Essendon District Football League.

The club was formed in 1974 as a result of a merger between two existing Essendon District Football League clubs - Essendon Baptist St John's and Ascot Vale Presbyterians. The club moved to its current location in the outer north western Melbourne suburb of Tullamarine in 1977.

The merger and relocation was a great success. The new club won five successive A Grade premierships between 1975 and 1979 establishing an Essendon District Football League record which still stands. More recently, the club has enjoyed intermittent success, with its most recent premiership coming in U/16 Division 3 2008. The seniors were denied another chance to go to the A grade after Glenroy accounted for them comfortably. This is the 2nd year in a row Tullamarine have lost in the grand final. Glenroy won 11.14.80 to Tullamarine 6.12.48
