Hult International Business School

Hult International Business School (formerly known as the Arthur D. Little School of Management) has been educating global business leaders since 1964. The School is a fully
accredited member of the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC) and is also accredited by the Association of MBAs (AMBA).

History

1964 - Arthur D. Little Inc., the world's oldest management consulting firm, establishes the Management Education Institute modeled on the MIT Sloan School of Management.

1965 - Swedish entrepreneur Bertil Hult founds EF Education, which has become the world's largest privately-held education organization, with 26,000 teachers and staff, and offices spanning 50 different countries.

1976 - The business school is officially accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC), the governing accreditation body of the region's business programs

1998 - "Forbes" calls the Action Learning Program as "highly distinctive", ranking it with the programs at Harvard Business School, MIT's Sloan School, Kellogg and Wharton.

1999 -The MBA Career Guide names Hult's program one of the top 30 international graduate business program in United States.

2000 -The Economist Intelligence Unit ranks the school the third best business school in Massachusetts after Harvard and MIT.

2003 - The School is renamed the Hult International Business School, honoring benefactor Bertil Hult's personal vision and commitment to educating international business leaders. The school moves to its own dedicated campus near downtown Boston.

2005 - Hult's one-year MBA earns the accreditation of the Association of MBAs (AMBA), making Hult the first-ever business school in the United States to be recognized by this prestigious international accrediting body.

2007 - Hult launches an elective module at its Shanghai satellite campus as a key component of the Hult international MBA experience.

2008 -Hult will launch the first American MBA program in Dubai.

MBA program

Hult offers fully accredited one-year MBA programs in Boston, Dubai and London (newly acquired) with identical core curriculums, covering traditional management subjects such as Finance, Accounting, Marketing Management, Global Management, Managerial Economics, Quantitative Methods, Operations Management, Consulting Methods and Project Management.

Additionally, students participate in a Management Consulting Project, working closely with a local company to carry out a real-world project within a company.

To build upon the action-based curriculum, Hult hosts speaker series, seminars and networking activities to provide students with the opportunity to develop knowledge about local culture and business practices.

Student population

Hult students are 95% international, come from over 35 countries, and are multilingual with fluency in over 25 languages. They have an average of 6 years' work experience and are professionals in industries such as Financial Services, Technology, Consulting, Manufacturing, Medical/Pharmaceutical, Energy, Supply Chain/Trade, and Real Estate/Construction.

Campuses

Hult students spend nine months at their home campus (either Boston, London or Dubai) to complete their core courses. When they move on to their elective modules, they are given an option (subject to visa approval and seat availability) to go to Hult's other campuses (Boston, London, Dubai, and Shanghai) to take their elective courses. Hult facilitates the campus rotation and assists with visa and housing arrangements.

Shanghai is a satellite campus of Hult which holds classes for both Boston and Dubai students during their first elective module. Here, students can earn up to 9 credits in elective coursework and are also exposed to a network of local business leaders by way of extracurricular campus activities.
