"Zeacolpus ascensus" is a species of very small deepwater sea snail, a marine gastropod mollusc in the family Turritellidae.

Distribution

This species is endemic to New Zealand's Chatham Rise.

Habitat

This snail lives at depths of between 240 and 530 m.

hell description

The shell is small, rather similar to "Zeacolpus pagoda powelli", but with a more even development of the main cords, resulting in more rounded than carinated whorls.

The shell height is up to 11 mm, and the width is up to 4 mm.
