The Alternative Education Resource Organization or AERO is a non-profit organization founded in 1989 to advance learner-centred approaches to education. AERO is considered by many to be the primary hub of communications and support for educational alternatives around the world. And AERO is also the host of an annual conference called the AERO Conference, held each summer at Russell Sage College in Troy, NY, USA, which bring together educators, students, parents, and many others interested and/or involved in educational alternatives from around the U.S., Canada, and the world.
